Centerpiece idea – drop the flowers and use corks!

Flowers make for a classic centerpiece – always full of color (assuming they are cared for and watered) and always smelling fresh. The downside? They can be a lot of up-keep and maintenance, not to mention replacement after about 1.5 weeks.

Another idea for a centerpiece that is a little more durable and just as good to look at – corks. They are easy to get and nice to look at, when placed properly. For those who are not wine lovers, eBay has corks on sale constantly, and for almost no cost.

Favorite ideas: Use a fun clear vase or large fish-bowl style bowl and fill to the brim with corks. It’ll go with any room decor and be a sure conversation piece at the next dinner party.
